We have come up with a list\nof seven of the best places to celebrate new year in Hong Kong with fireworks. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Countdown Celebration Centers<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The scope, sophistication,\nand complexity of the performances vary exponentially with different types of\ndisplays featuring fireworks, shooting stars, lasers, LED lights, and stunning\nchoreography. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can practically watch\nthe fireworks from anywhere you are. The countdown starts 60 seconds before\nmidnight and goes on for about 10 minutes. The list includes the best\nplaces to watch the fireworks in Hong Kong for free; in the public viewing\narea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Tsim Sha Tsui Promenade<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Here visitors enjoy spectacular views starting at the Clock Tower to\nHung Hom. The Tsim Sha Tsui Promenade is located in the West Kowloon Cultural\nDistrict and had been closed for 4 years for renovation purposes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Avenue of Stars which is Hong Kong\u2019s own version of Hollywood\u2019s Walk\nof Fame has the best front row seats to the pyrotechnic displays of new\nyear fireworks. The place has an amazing atmosphere and gets a bit crowded so it\u2019s\nadvisable to arrive early.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If huge crowds are overwhelming for you, book a harbour cruise and enjoy\nthe show from the water. From 11 pm there is a show of \u201cshooting stars\u201d at\nintervals of every 15 minutes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Ocean Terminal Deck<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Ocean Terminal Deck is located in Harbour City, 3-27 Canton Road. This\ndeck gives 270\u00b0 views\nacross Victoria Harbour. On top of that, there are also many restaurants and\npublic viewing platforms that offer panoramic views of the harbour. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Restaurants at the deck offer al fresco dining and a globe-spanning\nrange of cuisines and vistas that are to die for. At the rooftop, there\u2019s an\nobservatory deck while on the ground floor there\u2019s a huge lawn from where the\nviews are also great. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You should book early if you want to reserve space at one of the\nrestaurants here if you want to go early for public viewing.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Sky Corridor of Hong Kong West Kowloon Station<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The Sky Corridor is yet another option for someone who wants amazing\nviews of the New Year\u2019s celebration fireworks. The venue is at the recently\nopened West Kowloon Station and features an observation deck that gives great\nviews of the harbour. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you like, you can combine the fireworks viewing with a family trip to\nthe mainland on the new High-Speed Rail. The place gets very busy so you should\narrive early.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Golden Bauhinia Square in Wan Chai<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The Golden Bauhinia Square is located in from of the Hong Kong\nConvention and Exhibition Center which makes it a focal point to view the\ndisplay of fireworks. To go there, take the exit A5 from Wan Chai MTR and walk\nalong the footbridge of O\u2019Brien Road. Alternatively, you can take the ferry and\nwalk from the Star Ferry Wan Chai Pier \u2013 it should be a 10 minutes walk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This venue is usually less crowded but gives the advantage of amazing\nviews of the pyrotechnics thanks to its proximity to the water.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Tamar Park in Admiralty<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Tamar Park is another great spot for you to see all the action. The\nfireworks go on for about 23 minutes and are quite spectacular. The park is\nlocated next to the Central Government Offices and the Legislative Council\nComplex. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The park is a simple walk from Admiralty MTR Station. There\u2019s a grassy\nlawn that makes the perfect spot for a picnic. All you need to do is arrive\nearly and bring your own food and drinks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Sky100 Observation Deck<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>To get into Sky100, one needs to purchase tickets that go for HK$568 and\nare on sale starting December 1<sup>st<\/sup> to December 28<sup>th<\/sup> at\nnoon. Admission is from 31<sup>st<\/sup> December from 8:30 pm to 11:45 pm.\nGuests leave on 1<sup>st<\/sup> January at 1 am.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Victoria Peak<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The\npeak is the highest point from where you can watch the show and experience a\ntrue bird\u2019s eye view of the fireworks. You can get to the peak through the Peak\nTram as it passes the city\u2019s buildings at an almost impossible gradient. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If\nyou want to get the best viewpoint at the summit, head to the viewing platform\nat the Peak Tower. If you have more time, you can hike around the 3.5km Peak\nCircle Walk.
