For those who have been to Loyi Faateng, they probably can’t easily forget the caricatures of Osama Bin Laden, Kim Jong-un, and Saddam Hussein with which the walls are decorated or the numerous Italian dishes and sleek coffee on their menu.

• Browny Cafe

Located in a shopping mall in Tseun Wan is Browny Cafe, a relatively small and hidden coffee shop that offers some of the best java in town. If you ever need time to relax and unwind but are not sure where to go, Browny Cafe is never a bad choice. They sell coffee from Ethiopia, Guatemala among others but sometimes they also bake homemade cakes and other treats.

• Page Common

Inside a boutique hotel called Page 148 is a hidden cafe called Page Common. Though the cafe’s interior may seem a little bit simple and plain, we can’t say the same thing for their menu. Their Homemade Tiramisu and Hong Kong-style Scrambled Eggs with Corned Beef Toast sell out every day, just to mention a few.

Opens every day from 7:30 am to 6:30 pm.

• Sonne CAD

Located in a two-storey building, Sonne CAD is for those obsessed with coffee. Their menu rotates constantly from locally roasted coffee from Indonesia, Guatemala, Uganda and so on. They brew the coffee in a lab on the ground floor and serve the customers upstairs. They also have great customer service as you can speak to the baristas at the bar table about how you want your coffee to be brewed.

• Forest Cafe

Hidden from the main road and the public is Forest Cafe, an antique-filled, breathtaking cafe with no queues and bustling crowds. And as the name suggests, Forest Cafe is surrounded by nature. Their menu includes coffee, salad and a range of speciality burgers.

• The 5B Private Corner

Proven to be a private corner indeed, The 5B Private Corner has a tranquil and cosy atmosphere that makes their cafe ideal for chilling up with friends and family.
